Coaches Education Program - Level 2 Instructional Clinic Information

The CEP Level 2  clinic is the next step in your journey through the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program-- the first and only standardized, progressive lacrosse coach training available in the U.S.

This clinic is designed as a progression from the techniques presented in Level 1. Because the Coaching Education Program builds upon itself, participants must have completed the Level 1 clinic to be eligible to register for Level 2.

Level 2 is designed for coaches who are working with players who have mastered the basics of lacrosse. Upon completing the course, coaches will be able to teach their players how to take their game to the next level.

Level 2 Clinic Prerequisite:
Completion of the Level 1 Instructional Clinic (Fall 2005 or more recent)

Highly Recommended:
That you have completed a Level 2 online course, and have at least 2 years of coaching  experience

By attending a Level 2 Clinic you will receive:
• A Certificate of Completion
• Exclusive clinic resource materials, drills and templates
• Instruction from certified trainers, opportunity to discuss coaching topics with a group of other coaches.

General Information
• Clinics are seven hours in length
• Clinics feature a combination of classroom lessons and on-field practical experience

Level 2 Clinics are TACTICALLY and PRACTICALLY focused.  At the Level 2 clinics, coaches will receive detailed instruction and engage in valuable conversation on building the tactical elements of their team based on overarching principles for offense, defense and mid-field/transition. This instruction is geared toward coaching players who have an understanding of the basic skills and objectives of the game.  Coaches will also understand how practice planning fits into overall tactical objectives for their seasons.

Level 2 SKILL instruction for coaches of players who already have an understanding of basic lacrosse skills is found in the Level 2 online courses and DVD’s. This will not be covered at the clinic. Nutrition, sports psychology, and conditioning are also found in the online course.

Coaches who complete a Level 2 Clinic receive a certificate of completion and are noted in the US Lacrosse database.

SCLC members will be reimbursed for attending this clinic.  Upon completion of the clinic, contact the SCLC Treasurer at .  Once your certificate is verified, SCLC will reimburse your clinic attendance fee.

Please Note:  Registration for this course requires a current US Lacrosse Coaches' membership.  Those who are already US Lacrosse members may look up their membership number or verify their membership at
secure.uslacrosse.org/m.cfm.  Those coaches without a US Lacrosse membership who wish to register for a clinic may obtain a membership online from US Lacrosse at secure.uslacrosse.org/default.cfm.  SCLC will reimburse the cost of your membership.  Upon receiving your membership, contact the SCLC Treasurer at .  Once your US Lacrosse membership is verified, SCLC will reimburse your membership fee.
