SCLC General Provisions

1. National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Rules for Boys shall apply to all scheduled league games unless amended by US Lacrosse Youth Council (USLYC) and/or Official League Rules published by the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL).

2. Scheduled league games will be officiated by a recognized Lacrosse Officials Association.

3. Play will commence on a date established each year by the NVYLL (youth teams) and SCLC (high school team). The number of regular season games shall be at least eight. It is the intent to provide Girls and Boys the same amount of games.

4. No player who has played in a high school lacrosse program will be eligible to participate on a youth team.

5. A SCLC team will not change its roster for any game.

6. SCLC membership and team registration must be complete prior to the second game of the season. After the second game, any player requesting to join the club and participate in games must request permission from the SCLC Board of Directors.

7. An SCLC member may play with only one SCLC or NVYLL team. To avoid a game cancellation, up to four players may play on another team temporarily. The addition of temporary player(s) in order to play the scheduled game requires agreement by the opposing coach or commissioner. The official result of the game shall be a forfeit by the team adding the temporary player(s).

8. SCLC will not accept transfer from another NVYLL organization during the season or post-season.
